Abstract

Agroforestry contribution to REDD+ for sustainable landscape management in the Democratic Republic of Congo: current situation of the exploitation of forests around Kinshasa The search for innovative practices related to Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD +) is reflected in the approach taken by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in preparation for the future international financial REDD+ mechanism. The country preparation process took more than five years with support from UN-REDD (United Nations Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation) and the World Bank (Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF)).
